The Viertel Postdoctoral Fellowship College Student Scholarship

This fellowship College Student Scholarship is made available for research into diabetes that will benefit an aging population.Funding of $300,000 is to provide support to a post-doctoral researcher with 2-3 years experience and covers the research fellow’s salary, a research assistant as well as consumables used in the project. All eligible applications are reviewed by five independent assessors.

Eligibility Details:

This fellowship College Student Scholarship will be awarded for a two year period. Except in cases where other provision is made, the fellowship will be paid in equal half-yearly instalments, and will expire at the end of 24 months from the date specified in the letter announcing the fellowship. All funds which are unexpended at the end of the fellowship period, or for which orders have not been placed, will revert to the Diabetes Australia Research Trust.

Post Doctoral Research:

Post-doctoral College Student Scholarship researchers having attained their PhD after 2007 are eligible to submit an application and CV for consideration. Each application will be assessed individually and applicants will be contacted to confirm eligibility. Researchers having been awarded their PhD prior to 2007 are not eligible to apply.

The OBCL Epilepsy College Student Scholarship Awards

The College Student Scholarship are open to all students of Ontario 16-21, which are OBCL:
1. Canadian citizens or landed immigrants and are currently in Ontario
medical care for epilepsy.
2. People over age 21 are eligible for the award of the Further Study
3. Visa students are not eligible.
$ 1,000.00 scholarships can apply are students aged 16-29 years, the Canadian citizen, or immigrant status (a copy of your immigration papers) for the currently under the care of an Ontario doctor epilepsy. Please refer to price list for further details on eligibility and price descriptions. The College Student Scholarship Committee has included a copy of its evaluation process for your information.
